Dr Ainsley Davies is currently a Senior Technical Officer at Canberra Clinical Phenomics Service (CCPS) at the Australian National University (ANU). She obtained her PhD from ANU in 2022 for research uncovering the biological mechanisms underlying a novel human autoimmune and immunodeficiency disease.

Following her doctoral research, Dr Davies played a key role in executing the Phenomics Translation Initiative, a large-scale deep phenotyping pipeline funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). She led the development of the patient-focused milestone that resulted in the establishment of CCPS, which is now supported by MRFF National Critical Research Infrastructure funding. In her current role, she is the lead scientist designing novel in-house diagnostic assays using spectral flow cytometry and multiplex immunoassay for the analysis of patient blood samples.

Dr Davies’ work in cytokine analysis was nationally recognised with an invitation to speak at Pathology Update 2024, the premier Australasian Pathology conference hosted by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.

Her research interests include human immunology, with a particular focus on B and T cell development and inherited lymphocyte defects, as well as advanced cytometric techniques for disease diagnosis and monitoring.
