Dr Sharon Choo has been a paediatric immunologist and immunopathologist at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne since 2007. She trained in paediatrics, allergy & immunology and immunopathology in Adelaide, Sheffield, Perth and Canberra, and then worked as a locum consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, where she developed an interest in haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).
Since 2007, Sharon and the RCH immunology lab have prioritised the development of a range of assays that facilitate the rapid evaluation of patients with suspected prinary immunodeficiency disorders, including HLH.
