Emily began her career in the Core Laboratory at the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2004. Here she built on her Biomedical Science degree by completing a Graduate Diploma of Pathology. She was also able to participate in a rotation with the Flow Cytometry Laboratory beginning in 2006.

An opportunity to travel in 2011 saw her in London, England, where she worked at both Central Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal and the Hospital of St. John & St. Elizabeth in St. John’s Wood.

Upon her return she moved into the Specialised Investigations Department of the Royal Hobart Hospital, working in both the Flow Cytometry Laboratory and the Haemopoietic Progenitor Cell (HPC) Transplantation Laboratory. Since 2013 Emily has overseen the Flow Cytometry Laboratory as Senior Medical Scientist, a role she continues to enjoy.
