Randall Grose proudly serves as the newly appointed McMahon Services Family Fellow, leading the Adelaide Health and Biomedical Precinct Cytometry (AHBMPC) facility with a commitment to innovation, excellence, and research advancement. In this role, he is responsible for the seamless operation of the facility, ensuring that researchers have access to cutting-edge cytometry technologies while optimizing resources to maximize scientific impact. His leadership fosters an environment where state-of-the-art instrumentation and expert guidance empower scientists to push the boundaries of biomedical research.

The AHBMPC facility operates as a shared resource laboratory, bridging two of South Australia’s leading research institutions: the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), through the ACRF Cellular and Imaging Cytometry Core Facility, and the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS) building at The University of Adelaide. This collaboration enhances the facility’s ability to support a diverse array of biomedical research initiatives, fostering interdisciplinary partnerships and groundbreaking discoveries.

Driven by a commitment to excellence, the AHBMPC core facility serves as a cornerstone of the Adelaide BioMed City precinct, providing researchers with unparalleled access to advanced cytometry technologies. Specializing in flow cytometry—including both fluorescence (conventional and spectral) and mass cytometry—as well as high-precision cell sorting, the facility delivers not only world-class instrumentation but also comprehensive training, expert technical guidance, and professional support. Through this, Dr. Grose and his team ensure that scientists are equipped with the resources and knowledge necessary to make transformative contributions to medical and biological research.
